Back to School Style with Mini Boden

With temps still in the triple digits here in Austin, it’s hard to even imagine that school is starting in one short week. How do you send the kids back to school when it’s quite obviously still summer?!

I always have a hard time trying to do my back to school shopping because of the weather. Where some areas of the country are slowly transitioning from one season to another, my girls are going to be heading back to school and can’t wear anything too thick or heavy at this time of year so it escapes me to buy updated pieces when it seems like there’s no real shift.

A lot of people think when you have two kids of the same sex, you can just buy things and have a one and done. I used to think the same thing. But my girls are completely different. They each gravitate towards certain pieces and will wear those pieces out. It doesn’t matter how many pieces of clothing they have they only wear their favorites and wear those things completely out.

So having new pieces of clothing every year from here on out is pretty much…a must. We’ve had friends that have had their kids match once they’ve had more than one girl and we never have…until now.

And it wasn’t even intentional.

While scoping out clothes for fall (2nd grade and pre-K), we landed on Mini Boden and couldn’t pass up on the unique prints and durable fabric. The girls got to pick their favorite pieces and coincidentally (shockingly) enough they chose the same patterns and colors. Totally not what a mom of two girls that couldn’t be more opposite from each other would choose.

But now with Boden the products are all so versatile and durable and will stand up to multiple children, that I can just buy things once and have it last for both girls. And then can hand things down if possible.
