Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Cake Recipe

No wait. No mess. No leftovers. It may sound impossible, but that's what you get with this Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Cake recipe. How perfect is that?!

This delicious Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Cake recipe is a sponsored post on behalf of The Motherhood.

Sharing. It’s a lesson we’re continually trying to reinforce in our kids and something we try to actively act out on a daily basis. If our kids want the last cookie, slice of bacon, or just about anything else we’re willing to forego our share so that they can have more.

All of this sharing and actively trying to model good behavior sometimes leads us to dark places. Like pantries and behind closed doors where we can finally get a bite of the chocolate that we’ve stashed and don’t want to share.

Chocolate. How did I guess? Well, it’s almost always chocolate and usually a chocolate bar that will store and a quick bite can be taken with minimal chewing and lack of evidence.

Sure we’d all like more than just a chocolate bar for our sweet treat. But then there’s the mess. We don’t want to add more cleaning of bowls and pans to our already busy schedule.

And the temptation of having a bunch of baked goods sitting around that tempts us and tests our portion control will power. In the past I’ve been known to have a sweet tooth only to make an entire dessert, eat a slice and then throw the rest in the trash. All of that time spent cooking and cleaning up the mess for a sugar fix.

No wait. No mess. No leftovers. It may sound impossible, but that's what you get with this Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Cake recipe. How perfect is that?!

But not anymore. You can have a warm delicious treat just for you whenever you want it! Duncan Hines created Perfect Size for 1 – individually portioned pouches of cake mix.

These warm treats are quick and easy – a mug, some water and about a minute. Perfect Size for 1 is great on its own, but but with endless ways to customize from the liquid to the add-ins, your imagination is the only limit!
