Don't skip the most important meal of the day! Get what you need to make it through and lose weight with these 5 Easy Ways Breakfast Ideas on the Go

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but am I the only one that in the hectic chaos of the morning that skips it? Sure, I intentionally ensure I have coffee but anything with calories to sustain me and keep me going until lunch just isn’t on my radar.

Since I’m trying to lose weight and start working out again, I know how important it is to get calories on a regular basis. And skipping meals is not helping me in my journey.

I don’t have a lot of time to spend cooking and eating breakfast in the morning with my schedule so I need to focus on easy breakfast ideas on the go! I don’t need a lot of variety, just some solid ideas I can eat morning after morning that will fuel me through my workouts and get me through the rest of the day without dragging.

If you’re anything like me and don’t have the time to sit down for a full breakfast during the week amidst drop off’s, pick up’s, workouts, workouts, errands, and everything else then you’re not alone and these 5 Easy Breakfast Ideas on the Go are for you!

1. Overnight oats. This seems way fancier than it is. Plop 1/2 cup of oats in a glass jar with 1/2 cup milk and toppings of your choice (I’m partial to fresh fruit and nuts but dried fruit works too).

2. Avocado toast. It sounds pretty basic and it is. That’s the beauty in this. Take two slices of whole wheat toast and spread half an avocado with a squeeze of lime and sprinkle of salt and you’re good to go!

3. Hard boiled eggs. This right here is simple ingredients and protein from the source. Just boil a dozen eggs on the weekend and eat them throughout the week for breakfast on the go, topping for salad, or easy snack.

4. Protein bars. Whether homemade or store bought, protein bars are low in calories, high in protein and keep you full longer than sugary sweet granola or other varieties.

5. LALA Yogurt Smoothies. Who has time to get out a spoon when you want to eat yogurt in a hurry? Drinking this creamy and delicious smoothie is beyond easy.

I love that there are so many different varieties of LALA Yogurt Smoothies from the regular varieties to the Curb and Greek Yogurt Versions. I love that there’s so much protein in each variety but after looking at the ingredients I was shocked that these had stevia in them. I’m usually pretty sensitive to sweeteners that aren’t sugar and this one I didn’t even notice. I definitely feel good about grabbing a LALA Yogurt Smoothie versus some of the other alternatives.

I loved the thickness, creaminess, and flavor of all of them even though Chrisi tells me that summer is over and I need to embrace it, but I’m partial to the tropical mango flavors to keep summer going a little longer.
