Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray 9x13 baking dish and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter. Remove from heat, then stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Beat in 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Spread batter evenly into prepared dish.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow brownies to cool for at least 20 minutes before frosting.

Chocolate Frosting

  1. Combine the milk, butter, vanilla, and sugar together in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Continue to boil for 1 minute and turn off burner.
  3. Add chocolate chips and stir continuously until melted.
  4. Immediately pour over brownies.
