3 Simple Ways to Streamline Your Morning Routine

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of H-E-B Baby Diapers. As always, all opinions remain my own.

Mornings around here are chaotic to say the least. No matter how early I try to force myself to wake up, I usually opt for staying in bed just 10 more minutes. With kids issues come up in the morning. Especially in the morning. So my inability to hit the floor running sometimes throws our day even further off schedule. Anything that I can do to streamline our mornings (or life in general) I will do to get those 10 precious minutes of sleep.

I know I can’t be the only mom starved for a few extra winks, so I wanted to share my list of the top 3 Simple Ways to Streamline Your Morning Routine.

1. Start planning the night before.  Check the weather and lay out clothes for everyone down to shoes and accessories. Get breakfast, lunches, and snacks prepped and ready.

Don’t forget about the diapers. There’s nothing like a blowout or a leakage incident to slow down your morning – diaper changes, bedding changes, and baths (even if they had one the night before). By choosing diapers with up to 12 hours of leakage protection like H-E-B Baby Diapers, you can ensure that you’re not only saving money you’re getting a high quality diaper that will hold up through the night. Plus, they’re hypoallergenic and fragrance free for sensitive skin.

But the H-E-B Baby Diapers aren’t just great for night time, I want to ensure that I can simplify my routine and shopping list with just one diaper that will do it all. My 2 year old is super active (which ones aren’t?) so I love that these diapers are shaped to fit but with some stretchiness to move so that she can move easily.

2. Set the timer on the coffee maker.  Don’t waste time getting the coffee ready in the morning. Have the coffee waiting for you when you wake up! It’s the most amazingly fragrant alarm clock you’ll ever find.

3. Create a list (mental or on paper) of all the tasks that are necessary before you walk out the door. Make sure you get all of the items done before allowing any play or media time.

What are some ways you streamline your morning routine?

I always set out everything the night before. I would be a mess in the morning if I didn't.

I definitely do 1 & 3 - I only don't do #2 because my Keurig doesn't have a timer!

These days for me it is all about having a list set out to make sure I get done those things that can't be set out the night before, or TO REMEMBER the things I set out to take with me the night before!
