Kia Ride & Drive Experience: DFW Auto Show

Earlier this month while I was in New Orleans, I rode in the new Kia Stinger for the very first time. I had seen my blogging friends rave about the vehicles and the family dynamic that Kia embraces, but seeing it for myself was eye opening. Thanks to Kia for welcoming into the family and sponsoring this post and my visit to the DFW Auto Show! As always, all opinions and experiences are completely my own.

I was an only child and a tomboy growing up, so the running joke was I was the son my dad never had. I did the girly stuff with my mom but did the typically more masculine type things with my dad like hunting, fishing, and learning about cars. More times than I count my dad and I would go and visit trade shows for things my mom was uninterested in, that we would get to have a bonding experience over.

So when I knew I was going to visit the DFW Auto Show for the first time, I texted my dad and asked if he wanted to go with me. It seemed like the perfect way to connect my new Kia family with my family. My dad was excited and prepared to take the rest of the week off from work, but on last minute notice it wasn’t approved so I was flying solo this trip but texting tons of pics to him during the experience.

They say everything’s bigger in Texas and the Kia booth at DFW Auto Show is no exception. I don’t even know that booth is even the right word for the space that Kia is occupying – it has to be larger than my entire house. And was hoppin’ with people checking out vehicles the entire time I was there. Kia is a huge contender and force to be reckoned with in the automotive world.

The Steven Tyler Super Bowl ad looks to have been effective because the most popular car at the Kia booth was definitely the Stinger! But Kia didn’t do like some of the other manufacturers and just put it on display where you couldn’t touch it. Not only did they have one on a rotating display, there was another one you could sit in on the floor and at least three Stingers you could drive.

Because seeing and checking out the cars is fun, but driving them is even better!

Kia Ride & Drive Experience DFW Auto Show

If you head downstairs to the street level (level 1 – don’t go down to the parking garage like I saw a ton of people do), just follow the signs and the Kia Ride & Drive experience is right outside the doors when you come off the escalators!

Get all the details on when and where to go below for the complete Kia Ride & Drive experience below! As if the Kia Ride & Drive experience isn’t awesome enough, you’ll also get a $10 Amazon gift card when you get back!

And if you want to drive multiple Kia vehicles, you can do that too! Just let the staff and know and they’ll get you in the car you want and explain all of the amazing features and any questions you have.

I drove the Stinger (of course)…and the Sorrento.
