Except for an 18 month stint recently as a brunette, I've always been blonde. As a child, my hair was platinum but as I got older it continued darkening until at the age of 13 it arrived at a murky, dishwater blonde/light brown shade. Once it reached that point, I began coloring my hair and haven't stopped.
As a busy mom, I don't always find time to make it to the salon as often as I should. My hair is highlighted and a little more forgiving than if I had all over color but since I spend a small fortune on my hair each time I do visit the salon, I'm pretty discerning about the products I use. Not only do I want a shampoo for color treated hair that extends the life of my highlights, I look for products that are free of as many harmful chemicals as possible. I've never been able to pinpoint it but ingredients in some of the cheaper shampoos cause my skin to break out and scalp to dry out.
For the last month I've been using the shampoo and conditioner from Pureology's newest line of product – Perfect 4 Platinum. I don't have enough good things to say about this new line of products. They smell great, protect and restore my hair from damage, are 100% vegan, and contain natural ingredients. Most importantly, Perfect 4 Platinum helps mask my emerging roots while keeping the rest of my hair looking healthy, vibrant and fresh.
Pureology uses special technologies to help protect your hair and prevent future damage. These technologies prevent fading through antioxidants and full spectrum sunscreens. Keravis is an ingredient used to provide complete strength to inside and out to damaged hair of any color. That's another great thing about this product – you can use it on any shade of hair and it'll bring out the blonde highlights and significantly lighten your hair. The products are free of sulfates and salts and preserve your hair through the use of natural ingredients like coconut and botanicals such as chamomile, lemon, and coriander.
Pureology can be purchased at fine salons worldwide. !
