Save on Summer Makeup Essentials with Paperless Coupons + Nail Art Tutorial

As a mom, often my interests land on the back burner in favor of taking care of my family. I read more Berenstain Bears and Little Critter than I do magazines (other than Highlights, of course, so staying up on the latest trends can be difficult. That’s not to say that I’m not curious what the latest fashion and beauty trends are.

So since it’s rare that I have the extra time to or bother adding in extra money to our budget for updated seasonal products, I try to find other ways to try new makeup products without. With spending little time or giving much thought to my makeup purchases, the main way I save is through sales and coupons. While I may have a drawer full of unused coupons, having them with me when I actually make a purchase is another matter entirely.

Leisurely shopping trips only occur when the stars align and good moods meet convenience. Accepting my failure to plan and the subsequent inability to clip coupons, I adore shopping at Walgreens because there’s always one nearby no matter where my day takes me. Plus, there’s always some kind of deal to be had whether it’s buy one get one free or an opportunity to stock up on Balance Rewards.

Recently I found out that not only are are there monthly paper coupon books near the door, but now you can also find out (and use) the paperless coupons that are available via the Walgreens Mobile App! With my girls not having camps scheduled for last week, this left us with a lot of free time and the star aligned for a brief moment last week so I could go stock up on a few items to update my look for summer.

I’m pretty comfortable and content with a classic looks when it comes to my beauty routine, but sometimes (especially during summer) I like to mix things up a little. Usually it’s just swapping out a couple of products, but after checking out all that I could get with paperless coupons at Walgreens this summer, I wanted to do that and more!

While I don’t always get to partake in every trend, this summer I feel like I’m giving myself an updated look for summer that’s perfect for trips to the pool, BBQs, or date night! My beauty essentials for summer will stand up against a long day in the heat and embrace one of the big trends for summer – orange lips!

I usually opt to play up my eyes and go more natural on my lips, but for this look I did an orange lip that was more subdued by using Maybelline Baby Lips in Oh! Orange! layered with Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Sunset Peach. I love how fresh it looks and allowed me to play up my eyes while still having fun with my lips!

Tempted by all of the coupons, I couldn’t help but splurge on some nail polishes for summer as well. I’ve been fighting a lifelong battle with nail biting and keeping my nails pretty and polished is the only way I’ve found to fight the temptation. While my nails are still on the short side, it’s been two weeks since my last bite and I found a fun way to integrate the new polish colors I purchased into a tutorial, that coincidentally,  coordinates with my new dress.

I love that Walgreens makes things easier than ever for me to enjoy new beauty products and trends for summer while still saving money, by putting all of the paperless coupons I need to get ready for summer right on my phone! I'm a huge fan of mobile coupons! I am nowhere near organized enough to clip and carry coupons.

Such cute nails! And I like the idea of paperless coupons. That way I can just load them up in the store too - I more often than not forget my coupons at home.
