5 Useful Gift Ideas for Dogs

Dogs are a part of the family, so why shouldn’t they get presents at Christmas? Give your furbaby one (or all) of the 5 Useful Gift Ideas for Dogs in 2021.

I’ve partnered with Babbleboxx on behalf of Nutri-Vet and Vet’s Best to share these great pet health gift ideas with you!

I was a dog mom long before I was a mom to tiny humans. I’ve been a dog mom for most of my adult life. It’s been 16 years now.

I’d love to continue being a dog mom, but let me be real. It’s hard. Real hard.

Potty training, sicknesses, behavior issues, and aging. We had to say goodbye to our third bulldog, Trixie, last month and I’m still reeling.

Thankfully, we still have our Chihuahua, Gizmo, to give our love to. But it’s hard.

While Chihuahua’s have a long lifespan and relatively few health issues, Gizmo is 9 and we just don’t trust how much time we have left. The longest any of our dogs have lived so far is 12.

So, it’s hard. Gizmo was a rescue and we know his care before us was definitely lacking. Now we’re trying to be even more vigilant in staying on top of his health and issues that pop up so we can spend as many years with him as possible.

For us, our dogs are part of the family. So spending money on items that will help enrich and prolong their lives is a no brainer.

If you’re looking to gift your dog this holiday season, I have some suggestions just for you. Here are 5 Useful Gift Ideas for Dogs that they’ll (mostly) love and will help take care of them at the same time!

5 Useful Gift Ideas for Dogs

1. Nutri-Vet Pre and Probiotic Soft Chews Dog probiotics

We know how vital gut health is for humans, why shouldn’t it be that way for dogs too? I had never thought about giving my dog probiotics until recently.

Nutri-Vet Pre and Probiotic Soft Chews are the perfect combination of prebiotic and probiotics to support their digestive health and help the good flora in their intestines to grow. These not only help with digestion, but help with stool quality and immune support.

Gizmo loves the liver and cheese flavor of these soft chews. And, as you can see they’re safe and irresitible for dogs of all sizes.

2. Nutri-Vet Puppy Vite Chewable Tablets

While we can’t use these at the moment, when we do get another puppy we’ll be ready to go. Nutri-Vet have all the vitamins and minerals to get your pup off to the right start.

These chewable puppy vitamins were formulated with a pet and not only give them the vitamins and minerals they need, they also contain antioxidants to help neutralize free-radicals in their environment.

3. Nutri-Vet Hip & Joint Biscuits Glucosamine

Growing up, I had a lab and she had issues with other joints in old age. While Chihuahuas aren’t know for having joint issues, I’d rather be safe than sorry.

That’s why I’m being proactive with Gizmo’s health and starting him on Nuri-Vet Hip & Joint Biscuits with Glucosamine. These treats help maintain normal, healthy cartilage and connective tissue while supporting joint mobility.

Dogs love the peanut butter flavor and it’s a great way to give them a special treat that is beneficial to their longterm health. These are ideal for dogs greater than 40 pounds.

4. Vet’s Best Ear Relief Finger Wipes Dog Ear Cleaner

Dog ears can get pretty funky. I wish we would have found Vet’s Best Ear Relief Finger Wipes when Trixie was alive.

Like most bulldogs, she had a lot going on in her ears. These would have made the process of daily ear cleanings a much easier and pleasant experience. For both of us.

Vet’s Best Ear Relief Finger Wipes are free of parabens and made with all-natural ingredients like Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera and Tea Tree Oil. They make cleaning easier than ever, you simply slide your finger into the wipe and rub the accessible portion of your dog’s ear to clean.

5. Vet’s Best Enzymatic Toothpaste for Dogs + Dog Toothbrush

Dental health is critical for both humans and dogs. We get regular cleanings for all of our family members. It’s important to get your dog’s teeth professionally cleaned once a year to maintain their health.

In between cleanings, we’ve always brushed our dog’s teeth with toothbrushes. Sometimes we’d try a special dog toothpaste, but overall our dogs generally hated the stuff so it was just the toothbrush for the most part.

And a human toothbrush at that. The problem with a human toothbrush is it misses parts of the dog’s teeth.

Vet’s Best Enzymatic Toothpaste for Dogs and their Dog Toothbrush together created a magical combination. They come together and help clean your dog’s mouth more completely and in a flavor that dog’s actually like. It was developed by a vet and formulated with a soothing and effective mix of aloe, neem oil, grapefruit seed extract, baking soda, and enzymes.
