3 Tips to Make Laundry Day Go Smoother

This is a partnered post on behalf of H-E-B. While I was provided a store gift card to purchase Bravo Plus laundry detergent, all opinions and experiences remain my own.

As a mom, I do a lot of cleaning. It comes with the territory. And with all of the cleaning I've done and continue to need to do, I definitely have chores that aren't so bad and those that I loathe doing.

Laundry is one of the chores I just can't stand to do. I don't know where my issue with laundry lies. I like having fresh, clean clothes but I hate all that's involved with the task from start to finish. Laundry is one chore that you can never catch up with.

Bravo Plus Laundry Detergent

Fortunately in my 20 years of doing laundry, I've come up with these 3 tips that make laundry day go a bit smoother for me and hopefully for you too.

  1. Forget laundry day. I used to save all my laundry and try to get it done on just one day, but it never failed. It was just too big of a task and I'd drop the ball and never get the entire thing done. Now thanks in part to a septic system which does not allow me to do too many loads in a single day, I split things up over the course of the week making things much more manageable.
  2. Pretreat. Make an effort to pretreat stains as soon as you can to avoid the possibility of them setting. And you don't always need a separate pre-treater, you can use a small amount of detergent like the new Bravo Plus laundry detergent which has four powerful enzymes to help break down and eliminate tough stains and odors.
  3. Don't overload the washing machine. Overloading the machine means things will be packed in there with no room to move around causing wrinkles. Wrinkles = ironing. Save yourself the agony of ironing and just split your load up.

What you're best laundry day tip? Have you tried Bravo Plus laundry detergent?

    I don’t mind laundry – it’s dusting I can’t stand!

    I’ll definitely enter this one!

Laundry definitely isn’t my favorite either but having front loaders now really has me enjoying it a bit more. I couldn’t imagine having a laundry day, that for me is every day or I’d be doing laundry for a full 8 hours, no thanks!! Pretreating is a must with children!

I’m trying to split mine up too but I seem to ALWAYS leave the last load in the washer and forget about it

I agree with Laundry Day – nothing else would get done on that day if I saved all our dirty clothing up.

I actually came across a coupon in the Sunday newspaper today for this laundry detergent. After many years of doing laundry, I’ve decided that there is no pleasant day to do laundry. I suggest you just do it and get it over with. Clean clothes are our win!!!!

I saw that you have bought Newmans Own dog food. Any hints for less expensive places to buy in Austin? Or cheapest online?
    Thanks, Jim

I can use all the tips I can get. Laundry is not my favorite thing especially when there’s so much of it.
