Easy Toast Recipes for Any Meal

These Easy Toast Recipes for Any Meal was sponsored by BabbleBoxx on behalf of Oroweat Organic Bread.

Growing up, we ate a lot of bread. And I don’t mean different kinds of bread either. We had a loaf of bread and that was used for toast and sandwiches but also in place of buns and tortillas.

Not only did it keep the shopping list simple and reduced waste, but it also gave me an opportunity to start experimenting in the kitchen at an early age. You might be surprised at all the amazing recipes you can create with a great base.

That base is the bread. We weren’t using just the cheapest, plain bread on the shelves. Since we were eating so much bread, my mom wanted to make sure it was good for us too, and always bought whole grain bread.

Those childhood bread memories have carried on into parenting my girls too. Ensuring we always have bread on hand, means there’s always something to eat.

That doesn’t mean that they never complain there’s no food in the house, but over time they’ve grown to know you can make toast or a sandwich out of just about anything.

Get inspired to create new meals in the kitchen with your kids with these easy toast recipes for every meal!

Avocado Toast

  • Avocado, mashed with salt, pepper, and sprinkle of lime
  • Tomatoes, slices or halved grape tomatoes
  • Egg, cooked to your liking

Other topping ideas for this include crumbled bacon or turkey for a sandwich.

Strawberry Banana Peanut Butter Toast

  • Peanut butter (or another nut/seed butter of choice)
  • Banana, sliced
  • Strawberries, sliced

You could also sub the strawberries for other berries or omit and add apples instead. Turn this into more of a dessert by using hazelnut spread.

More toast topping combinations:

  • Low-fat Greek yogurt, mandarin slices, sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Hummus with shredded carrots
  • Low fat cream cheese and cucumber slices
  • Fat-free refried beans, pico de gallo, sprinkled low-fat cheese
  • Low fat mayo, cheddar cheese, apples
  • Mascarpone cheese with diced pineapple and coconut flakes
