15 Easy No-Sides-Needed Sunday Dinner Recipes

I don't know about you but on Sundays after a busy week,  I just want to spend time at home and relax. Our Sundays usually involve going to church, spending time together as a family, and enjoying good food.

On weeknights, we try to stay on schedule but are usually rushing around trying to prep for the following work/school day. This means we rely heavily on recipes that are fast and easy.

Sundays we we allow ourselves a little more time for meal preparation, but that doesn't mean we don't want it to still be relatively easy. There are only four of us, so I love making dinner recipes that are one pot dishes or those that don't require any side dishes.

I am Italian, so I love anything with pasta, bread and garlic LOL. Lasagna is one of our favorites!

I’ll have to check out the Mexican Meatloaf recipe! This past Sunday we enjoyed a big pot of gumbo with black eyed peas, shrimp, sausage and chicken. My 6 year old requests it occasionally.

I don’t really have a “sunday” dinner but I do often struggle with what to add as a side dish to my meals. I love the idea of making a recipe that doesn’t need a side what so ever!

I want to try the Dirty Rice. I haven’t had that in YEARS!

The baked ravioli sounds like something everyone in my home would enjoy! I like making a rump roast in the slow cooker – easy and it makes the house smell so good when you walk in!

The slow cooker taco soup looks delish!

I guess that would have to be beef stew. (That picture of White Chicken Chili looks so delicious – I like the pop of red in it.)

Oooh, the slow cooker taco soup would definitely be a hit in our house.

Oddly, we typically don’t cook on Sunday. That is a day to go out to eat or order in. The kids always want pizza, but hubby and I would usually prefer Chinese or Italian.

These recipes look delicious! We always eat something really easy on Sunday. By the time we get home from church, they are absolutely starving. Sometimes we pick up a pizza, but more often, I make Nachos. It’s a pretty quick and easy meal.

For some reason Sunday just asks for a pot roast, potatoes, and carrots. It is my favorite one pot meal.

I love stuffed peppers, though I’ve never made my own. I just invite myself over whenever my mom makes hers, which isn’t very often anymore. So I think it’s time I start making my own now. And that dirty rice looks good, too.

I love that these include the word easy. 🙂 Those are the best recipes, especially when they’re healthy ones.

Great ideas! I recently tried a dirty rice recipe (might’ve actually been the same one…), and my kids LOVED it! I was so surprised, I didn’t think they would enjoy it that much.

I love these! We test out new recipes often, but have a tendency to revert back to our old faithfuls. An easy, frequent dish in our home is crockpot chicken sweet potato soup.

I love Chili and Dirty Rice. Thank you. I’ll be bookmarking this post right now. I’m always looking for good Sunday recipes since, as you mentioned, that’s a day we love to relax. Sometimes we have breakfast for dinner on Sundays.

I love any recipe that looks like I spent all day in the kitchen but in reality, I didn’t! I will probably try all those recipes, especially the chili. My grown boys love chili.

Excellent blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on
everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid
option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused ..
    Any tips? Bless you!

Can I simply say what a comfort to discover a person that
truly knows what they are talking about over the internet.
You definitely realize how to bring a problem
to light and make it important. More people have to check this out and understand this
side of your story. It’s surprising you are not more popular
because you surely have the gift.

Those cheesy chicken enchiladas look delicious – I don’t think I can wait until Sunday to try them!

Cook to please yourself first and soon you will find that others are pleased with your cooking too. If you’re a by the book cook, then by all means measure and set the time and temperature accurately
