Is it just me, or is life almost seems busier in summer than during the school year? Sure you have tons to do during the school year and hours that are locked away for school or work without as many breaks. But you also have that dependable framework of a schedule to work with. In summer, that goes out the window and the structure of your day goes along with it. Playdates, impromptu visits to the pool, and flexible bedtimes don't coexist well with little ones still needing to eat.
Since our schedule shifts during the summer and our predictable schedule of eating between 5 and 6 doesn't always happen, my girls start getting hungry before I've even made it to the kitchen. When they're hungry, their patience runs thin and I'm not about to spend any more time than necessary completing dinner.
Using the super helpful bookmarking applet on Foodie.com, I came up with a collection of 16 Quick and Creative Family Meals that will give your family some variety each night but will keep you in the kitchen for less than an hour!
What's your go-to recipe for a quick meal?
