Britax Marathon 70 Convertible Car Seat Review

There’s a reason that Britax continues to be the most trusted name in car seats. Britax continues to improve their car seats and integrate the newest and most efficient technologies in each product. Not only does Britax excel in safety, they also have some of the trendiest designs around.

When researching convertible car seats when Cakes outgrew her infant seat, Britax continuously appeared. No matter what list I located or what research I found, Britax was always at the top of the list for safety. Although Britax car seats are more expensive than others out there, these convertible seats last so long – you only need to buy one seat. And, more importantly I’m not able to put a price on my daughter’s safety and well being.

Selecting a Britax has given me peace of mind knowing that in an accident, my daughter is protected because of the advanced technology present in her seat. The Britax Marathon 70 Convertible Car Seat utilizes Safe Cell Technology which helps lower the center of gravity and keep the child from being pushed forward in a crash, Integrated Steel Bars which reinforce and strengthen the connection to the vehicle while reducing forward flexing of the child and possible injury, as well as Energy Absorbing Versa Tether which slows the rate of forward movement and keeps the top of the child attached to the seat.

Not only is the Britax Marathon 70 designed for safety, it also maximizes comfort for the child. Head and lumbar support give the child extra padding in the event of an accident and for a more comfortable ride. The shoulder straps are fitted with padding so the harness itself isn’t rubbing against the child’s bare skin and an additional peace of fabric keeps the buckle from irritating a child’s sensitive skin as well. I don’t have enough good things to say about Britax and my new Marthon 70 convertible car seat. If we were to get into an accident, I’d definitely be purchasing another Britax as a replacement.
