I see you mama. Patiently waiting for the coffee pot to play its familiar song announcing your day can officially begin. Coffee’s that little piece of heaven that gives us the boost we need to make it through the day. But if you drink as much coffee as I do, then you’re probably throwing out tons of used coffee grounds out every week. Instead of tossing out the grounds, save them to use in this easy coffee body scrub recipe.
Y’all know how much I love homemade sugar scrubs. In the past, I’ve shared my recipes for mint chocolate, orange, peppermint, grapefruit, lavender vanilla, apple cinnamon, and pumpkin spice sugar scrub.
So why not a coffee sugar scrub too? You obviously already have the coffee on hand so you don’t need any special ingredients. And it’s great for the environment too since you’re reusing those used coffee grounds you’d otherwise throw away.
My skin gets super dry and looks ashy if I don’t exfoliate and moisturize it. Even in the summer when there’s more humidity I have to exfoliate or my legs look gray and they feel itchy.
I want beach-ready legs year round because I never know where my travels will take me. So I have to use sugar scrubs year round. I use it 1-2 times a week in summer and almost every day in winter. I’m not willing to give up hot showers which are known to dry out your skin, so this helps me fight that and it smells great too.
My easy coffee body scrub recipe uses ingredients you already have in your house. There’s nothing fancy to order or try and hunt down, just three basic ingredients. Used coffee grounds, sugar, and coconut oil make up this simple scrub.
Easy Coffee Sugar Scrub

- 1 cup sugar brown or white
