This is my continuing story and the video shares my reasons for getting a boob job.

I shared with you earlier in the week about my breast augmentation consultation at Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery. What I didn’t tell you were the reasons behind seeking out this procedure. So, I decided to shoot a little video to share the many reasons why I’m choosing breast augmentation surgery to make me happy!

Find out what happens at a breast augmentation pre-op appointment, breast augmentation surgery details, and my breast augmentation surgery 2 week follow up with photos.

What are your thoughts on plastic surgery? Would you ever get breast augmentation surgery?

Great video… I think we (moms) all have to learn how to get our confidence back after having kiddos!!

I completely understand. I wear a bra pretty much 24/7 due to long term nursing and excessive weight loss. My breasts look terrible and I’m uncomfortable all the time. I’m hoping to have a lift and augmentation next year. Good luck to you!

I’m so happy for you! You do so much for your family and others, you totally deserve to do something to make yourself happy.

Wow! Great Video….good luck with your surgery. I can’t wait to see how everything turns out and I will be eagerly following your progress so that if I ever find myself in need of a touch up; I’ll have an idea of where to go. The pictures you posted of the facility were amazing. I wish you the best with your upcoming surgery and can’t wait for your next post. I think I might take a quick look at their website now that my curiosity is piqued.

Good for you, Kelly. I am SO scared of surgery after some major complications after my c-section, that I really don’t think I would have elective surgery.

Totally behind you on this, Kelly. Sometimes women get a lot of flack (from other women usually) for wanting to improve our looks. But ya know – it’s up to us to decide what we need to feel good. I know I want to have augmentation (and maybe reduction in other areas) at some point in the future when I can afford it. We put on makeup, we get our hair done, our nails etc. Why not areas of our bodies that we feel need improvement? I wish you best of luck with your surgery and a speedy recovery!

Great video! I actually want a breast reduction, so we are at different ends of the plastic surgery stick. However, our reasons are the same as you mentioned in the video above! I know my life would 100% improve if I would get the surgery and be more self confident in my everyday life. Not to mention, my sister had stage 3 breast cancer and I’m always worried about that factor. Plus, I like to exercise and large boobs just get in the way! LOL! Wishing you the best and a fast recovery!

    You go, girl!

I have nursed-for-over-three-years boobies too, so I get it!

You’re right we all put everyone before us, and yes even our pets! LOL I think we all have an area that makes us not feel confident. I hope it all goes well for you!

I hope everything goes great for you! It’s not something I would ever need, but I can totally understand your reasoning!

I am totally with you! When I’m done having babies I’m also planning on breast augmentation. I think it’s totally find to do things that make YOU happy!

I wish you the best of luck and swift healing! It’s great that you’re doing it for yourself. We all need to take care of ourselves and it helps us be better able to help others as well.

After I am done breast feeding, I am definitely getting it done!

Childbirth definitely transforms us in ways I didn’t think imaginable.

I wear a bra almost all the time as well. Hopefully you’ll get your surgeries as planned!

    July 29, 2013 at 9:44 pm

Thanks, Kiersten! I definitely try to give my all to my family but I’m also excited to be doing something for myself this time!

  18. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 9:45 pm

Thanks, Deb! I’m optimistic that it will be a success!

  19. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 9:45 pm

Thanks, Robin! The thought of a c-section scares me so much more than breast augmentation. It could be that I watched a YouTube video of it while pregnant.

  20. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 9:49 pm

I couldn’t agree with you more! It’s so unfortunate how other people judge about cosmetic surgery. Not everyone is as secure with their bodies as others and everyone’s has walked a different road to put them in their current mindset about their body/appearance/self esteem.

  21. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 9:53 pm

Confidence is definitely a motivator in so many things that we do whether it be wearing makeup, fashion, or cosmetic surgery. I like to exercise too and have been fortunate to find quite a few bras for larger breasts that I’m hoping will work!

  22. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 9:54 pm

    Thanks so much!

  23. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 9:56 pm

Thanks, Carrie. I don’t regret nursing my girls but I am glad there’s something I can do to turn things around and make them even better than before.

  24. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 10:04 pm

I had to include pets because I know over the years I’ve invested a lot of time, love, and money on our bulldogs!

  25. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 10:05 pm

I think we always want what we don’t/can’t have! I’ve had friends tell me the same thing but they were yearning for a breast reduction.

  26. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 10:06 pm

It’s definitely something that I’ve put a lot of time and research into before doing. But something that I’ve been wanting for years and that I know I’m going to love!

  27. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 10:07 pm

I agree – we all need to take a little bit of time for ourself so we can be a better version of ourselves in our relationships!

  28. Kelly Tomlinson says

    July 29, 2013 at 10:08 pm

I had debated getting the procedure done in my early 20s but am so glad I waited until after kids and breastfeeding so that I don’t have to worry about a second surgery. At least not anytime soon.

I had breast augmentation in 2005 and have to have them redone since losing so much weight and another child. They have drooped and also deflated. I can’t wait to do it again though the pain isn’t something I’m looking forward to. Can’t wait to see all your updates!

Your reasons are good ones, and I agree, it’s important to be confident to be a good mom and wife. I have my fingers crossed that this all goes well for you! Your doctor’s office sounds very professional based on your posts so I expect you will be happy with the process, but still nerve wracking I’m sure!

I totally feel you. I nursed for four years straight and am not happy with my breasts either but if I could get one surgery right this moment it would be liposuction or tummy tuck. NO matter what I do, I can’t rid myself of the belly and love handles since having my daughter.
