I love creating things I can give as homemade gifts. This Thanksgiving snack idea can double as a DIY gift for teachers too. It's super simple but looks impressive and fun.

Thanks to G.H. Cretors for sponsoring this Thanksgiving Blessing Snack Mix Recipe.

November is the time to give thanks. An easy (and delicious) way to say thanks to teachers is with this Thanksgiving Blessing Snack Mix Recipe!

And just like that, with the calendar rolling Over just one day I’ll thoughts, plans, and preparations abruptly switched from all things Halloween to Thanksgiving.

With four Thursdays in November before Thanksgiving actually arrives, there’s plenty of time to do what we all really should be doing year round, and that’s give thanks. Be mindful and cognizant, and always aware of the people and things in your life that make it better and acknowledge their mark on your life.

Too often we get into the habit of thinking people owe us something and we’re entitled to all the goodness and niceties. While I like to hold myself to this standard, too often people are inwardly focused or only able to see what’s right in front or their face, blocking out others. So when we do receive simple acts of acts of kindness or even more significant ones, we need to take the time and be grateful.

To give thanks.

Thanksgiving Snack Idea

As we’re making our way through November and I’m inwardly reflecting over all the people and things that I’m grateful for, I think about the teachers in my daughter’s lives.

Teachers are these amazing women and men who get to spend a pretty big chunk of your little one’s childhood, teaching, supporting, and encouraging. So this year as part of my giving thanks in November, I wanted to actually share with the teachers how thankful I am to have them in my children’s lives and give them a little something for their blessings.

DIY Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea

As a base I used G.H. Cretors limited edition Popped Corn seasonal flavor Pumpkin Spice Caramel Corn which has roasted pumpkin seeds and walnuts but on my next batch I'm planning to use the Salted Caramel Popped Corn with Pretzels!

Making this Thanksgiving Blessing Snack Mix recipe is super easy. The ingredients I used are below, but this is definitely one of those recipes that can be adjusted to fit whatever flavors you enjoy.

Thanksgiving Snack Idea Shopping List

This is what I used in my Thanksgiving snack mix. It's super simple!

  • 1 bag G.H. Cretors Pumpkin Spice Caramel Corn
  • 1 pound Lightly salted peanuts
  • 1 bag candy pumpkins
  • 1 bag candy corns
  • G.H. Cretors Organic Honey Butter Kettlecorn

I mixed up all of the ingredients in a large bowl to ensure there was a little bit of each ingredient throughout the jar and then tossed some additional G.H. Cretors Organic Honey Butter Kettlecorn to fill up the jar. Then, I'm not particularly crafty so I just added some ribbon and tied on a tag that says I am thankful for you to customize it.

What else can you put in a Thanksgiving Snack Mix?

You can change this up however you want. A few more ingredients you can add to make this snack mix you own include:

  • Butterscotch chips
  • Shelled Sunflower Seeds
  • Cashews

I just love the combination of sweet and salty and all of the different textures. There is guaranteed to be something in this Thanksgiving Blessing Snack Mix that fits every craving!
